NOTE This is a previously published work with a new cover.
Science teacher Rebekah Jamison lives a quiet life in the suburbs of Atlanta. Devastated by a tabloid scandal nine years ago, she ended her marriage to the man her parents never approved of.
Rafael Lopez, former professional wrestler and “Sexiest Athlete Alive,” regrets the lapse in judgment that caused him to lose his wife. He shows up unannounced one day with some startling news, but he gets a surprise of his own. He finds out he’s a father. To get to know his son, he whisks him and Rebekah off to his home in the Hollywood Hills for the summer.

Despite what the title of the review may suggest this is not a recipe for some culinary dish. Rather it's what I really think of Rafael Lopez. I'm stuck in a hate/like/love situation with him. And unfortunately Rebekah Jamison falls into that category too.So in all fairness I guess I should break it down.
Let's start with the "hot" factor. Rafael is considered "the sexiest athlete alive". To be honest wrestlers, well the WWE type wrestlers specifically, flick my switch. Whether it's their impressive bodies, dominating personas, sinful smiles, psychological warfare, hot rippling pectorals, colorful costumes, thick muscular torsos or their great entertainment factor, I want to point out that these men (and, I guess the women) have carved success out of their sexy factor. So I will gladly say that yes, I chose this book because it twigged a slight drought I'm stuck in. Sue me.
But Rebekah is no slouch either. The way her thicker curves were worshipped by her lover I just know that they're the "too insanely good looking to be a real couple" that Hollywood and fantasy cook up.
Which leads into Beefy. Well ok now that I look at it "beefy" may not be the best informal adjective to use. But it's my review. And I like the title (NB - when I'm not sitting in a deliciously wonderful bath I'll possibly come back and re-edit lol)
Now to the crux of my issue - bully!
Rafael is bowled over when he tracks down his ex-wife and discovers an 8y/o version of himself answering the door. Suddenly Rebekah is thrust back into the past and made to revisit her heartache and humiliation suffered at the hands of this man. So yup, I had the "Currently Indisposed" Post-It taped to the back of my Kindle after that wee episode. There's nothing like a heap of romance drama to get me hyped up.
Granted he has discovered the secret that Rebekah had been harbouring for many years I don't think it gave him free access to storm their lives and their hearts. Suddenly he's demanding exclusivity. Like everything she had tried working towards was inconclusive. I mean was he about to lay out how many times he tried to rediscover some modicum of contentment. Girl woulda caught the first boat out to the Caribbean with that kind of disclosure.
Now what were his tools of the trade when it came to wooing his ex-spouse? Forced seduction. Blackmail. Fame. Riches. Security. And if I don't get to play with my toy I'll pound and sulk. Hmm if he was such a book boyfriend tease I would've walloped him with the Kindle. Then demanded reimbursement.
Then there's Rebekah. Sweet, virtuous, good girl Rebekah. Baby girl should have fought for boundaries. I'm all for a dominating lover. Hell nothing like a lil rough housing. But if all you can see in his eyes is lusty sex, with a dash of regret, you gotta ask yourself is it worth it.

Fight for Love Latin Men Book 2 edition by Delaney Diamond Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I truly enjoyed reading this book. As an educator and avid reading, it pleases my soul when the characters are developed and the story as a beginning, middle, and end.
She's done it again. It was a little shorter than I expected though. True love never dies. Love that Rebekah didn't have anyone other than him. That's what we do, hold out & hold on for the best thing. Not be promiscuous seems to be fading with us church girls. Hats off to Rebekah. Now if she could just stop calling that boy, "Sweetie" That annoyed me. Glad Rafael stepping in to stop her turning him into a cry-baby. Love strong men.
This was my first time reading a book by Delaney Diamond and I honestly enjoyed the story of Raphael and Rebekah's story. I thought the novel was well written and the storyline was played out well. They were young and in love and maybe not ready for the challenge of being married. Lack of communication and a misunderstanding caused the break down of their relationship. A chance encounter and a long kept secret helped bring them back together. I would definitely recommend this to other readers.
Tells of what happens when there is zero trust in a young marriage and distance between them .Rebekka reads a story about her young husband and believes every word though none of it is true. Her father convinces her to divorce him so she does. Years pass he seeks her out with news that changes their life and finds out something that changes his life so he puts together a plan to reunite his family.
First of all, I must say that I have been a reader of this author since she first hit the publishing scene and I've been impressed how well she grows with each story. This I must say is my FAVORITE, oh yes. Rafeal is my kind of man, he is my kind of man. He is strong and determined to have his woman and son once he discovers the truth. I also liked how he addressed each issue that arose head on. He didn't wait to see how things played out, but confronted them and made the heroine deal with things even when she wanted to push them aside. I think readers will also like the heroine and be able to identify with her on many levels and even understand the tough decision she found herself having to make.
Did I mention the sex? Now is this story going to knock you over with erotic wording? No. However, this creative sensuality can't be missed. It adds the layers to this story that ignites the intimacy factor between the H/H.
A Must Read!!
I enjoyed reading Rebekah and Rafael's story! It was sweet. I feel bad that Rafael didn't know about his son until he was 8 years old, but at least they will get a chance to have a great relationship in the long run. Rebekah needs to have another baby to make it up to Rafael!
I recently bought her latest book, Perfect which is I gave 5 star, and loved it so much that it made me want to read her other books. With this in mind I ended up purchasing the Hot Latin Men Books (all of them) and tremendously enjoyed all of them. Each book was an interesting read, of course those sexy Latin men just made them more so enjoyable. I would highly recommend reading all of Delaney Diamond's books, you will not regret purchasing them and of course reading each of them. The other series by Delaney Diamond - the Hawthornes - three brothers and one sister is also great to read, very interesting read about this family. I love Ms. Diamond style of writing she hold your interest from start to finish and when you are finish reading she leaves you wanting more, more, more. I also love the hardness and harshness of her heroes and the ways and manners in which the heroines succumbs to them. So with all said, you can go and purchase not one, but ALL of her books and start reading. ENJOY THEM ALL.
